Dr Lisa Packard

Gynaecology
Lisa is an American-trained Gynaecology specialist with advanced training in Robotic Assisted minimally invasive gynaecology surgery, including laparoscopic and robotically assisted laparoscopic hysterectomy. She has special interests in abnormal uterine bleeding, menstrual disorders, pelvic pain, pelvic pathology, myomectomy, hysteroscopy, endometrial ablation and complex family planning.

Lisa is from the United States where she completed her medical degree at Georgetown University in Washington DC, a Masters in Public Health from Johns Hopkins University, and her Specialist O&G training in Silicon Valley, California. She completed Da Vinci robotic surgery certification in 2018. Lisa was a private practice O&G Consultant for 8 years in California before relocating with her family to New Zealand in 2021. In addition to her private gynaecologist practice, Lisa is a consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at Middlemore Hospital. In her work there she is committed to improving outpatient gynaecology procedural care and enjoys her work teaching and mentoring future specialists.  

Lisa has basic proficiency in Spanish and maintains both New Zealand/Australia and American Gynaecology practice standards. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children exploring the outdoors. She can often be found in the kitchen baking treats to share with colleagues and friends.
